Fistula Test

The purpose of the Fistula test is to detect a perilymphatic fistula. If pressure sensitivity is found, the presence of a fistula is highly likely.

Pressure is applied, by typmanometry, to each ear in turn, and eye movements are recorded with ENG electrodes (one on forehead, and one on either side of the eyes). Eye movement is directly observed and measured with ENG equipment.
