ECOG

Electrocochleography refers to measurement of inner ear pressure.

Patients with increased inner ear pressure may have Meniere's Disease, a problem characterized by fullness of the ear, tinnitus (ear noise), hearing loss and vertigo (dizziness).

The electrocochleogram may help confirm the diagnosis of this disabling disease.

All patients with a hint of this disorder undergo electrocochloegraphy.
